1. Scope and acceptance

By booking, purchasing or commissioning an experience from The Wild Pause Limited, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Where a proposal, booking confirmation or invoice contains additional or different terms for a private, organisational, retreat or collaboration booking, those written terms will apply to that booking to the extent of any inconsistency.

2. Eligibility

Public experiences are intended for participants aged 18 or over unless otherwise stated. Where an experience is specifically offered to younger participants, a parent, guardian or responsible adult may be required to attend or provide consent.

3. Booking and payment

Public experiences must be paid for in full at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. A place is confirmed once payment has been received.

For private sessions, organisational experiences, retreats and collaborations, the payment schedule will be set out in the proposal, booking confirmation or invoice. A deposit or full payment may be required to secure the date. Any remaining balance must be paid by the due date shown on the invoice.

Prices and any applicable booking or service fees will be made clear before purchase.

4. Gift cards

Gift cards may be redeemed only against eligible The Wild Pause experiences and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from purchase. Redemption instructions and any exclusions will be stated at the point of purchase. Gift cards are transferable unless otherwise stated. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

5. Arrival

For scheduled public experiences, participants should arrive at the time stated in the joining instructions, normally around 15 minutes before the advertised start. Experiences begin promptly. Late arrival may mean that it is not safe or practical to join once the group has moved on, and a refund cannot be guaranteed.

6. Weather, safety and changes

The Wild Pause experiences may take place outdoors and normally proceed in a range of weather conditions. An experience may be postponed, adapted, relocated or cancelled where weather, site conditions, access restrictions or other circumstances create an unacceptable safety risk.

If The Wild Pause Limited cancels a public experience, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the amount paid for that experience.

For private, organisational, retreat and collaboration bookings, any rescheduling or cancellation arrangements will follow the written terms agreed for that booking.

7. Clothing, equipment and preparation

Participants are responsible for arriving suitably dressed and equipped for the weather, terrain and information provided in advance. This may include appropriate footwear, layers, waterproof clothing, water, personal medication and any optional ground covering requested or recommended in the joining instructions.

8. Health, wellbeing and accessibility

Participants are responsible for deciding whether an experience is suitable for them and for taking part within their own physical abilities. Please tell the guide in advance about any relevant medical condition, injury, mobility requirement, allergy, pregnancy or other circumstance that may affect safe participation.

Where appropriate, participants should seek advice from a healthcare professional before attending. The Wild Pause is a wellbeing experience and is not a substitute for medical, psychological or other healthcare treatment.

Where possible, reasonable adjustments will be considered. Please contact The Wild Pause in advance if you would like to discuss accessibility or participation needs.

9. Participation and conduct

Participants agree to follow reasonable safety instructions, respect other participants, respect the natural environment and behave in a way that does not compromise the safety or experience of others. Participants must not attend while impaired by alcohol or recreational drugs.

The Wild Pause Limited may refuse or end a person's participation where continuing would create a safety risk or materially disrupt the experience.

10. Invitational nature of the experience

The practices and invitations offered during a Wild Pause are invitational. Participants may choose how they engage within the boundaries of safety and consideration for the group. Sharing is always optional unless a particular activity is expressly described otherwise.

11. Mobile phones and personal belongings

Participants may be asked to keep mobile phones on silent and limit their use during guided portions of an experience, except in an emergency or where invited to use them.

Participants remain responsible for their own belongings. The Wild Pause Limited is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Outdoor risk and liability

Outdoor experiences involve inherent risks, including uneven ground, weather, natural obstacles, plants, insects and other environmental conditions. Participants accept the ordinary risks associated with taking part in an outdoor experience.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

13. Public experience cancellations and refunds

Unless a different cancellation policy is stated at the time of booking, cancellations made more than 48 hours before a public experience may be transferred to another available date or refunded.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the experience are normally non-refundable. Where a place can be filled from a waiting list, The Wild Pause Limited may, at its discretion, offer a transfer or refund.

Bookings for leisure activities taking place on a specific date or during a specific period do not generally carry the usual 14-day statutory cooling-off right that applies to many online purchases.

14. Private, organisational, retreat and collaboration cancellations

Cancellation, rescheduling, deposits and payment obligations for private sessions, organisational work, retreats and collaborations will be set out in the proposal, booking confirmation or invoice for that booking. Where bespoke preparation, venue costs, travel or third-party costs have already been incurred, those costs may remain payable as stated in the agreed booking terms.

15. Photography and media

Photographs or video may occasionally be taken during experiences. Identifiable images will only be used for marketing, editorial or promotional purposes where appropriate consent has been obtained. Participants may decline photography, and consent may be withdrawn for future use by contacting The Wild Pause.

Where photography is being undertaken by a venue, brand, organisation or other collaborator, any separate media arrangements will be communicated where relevant.

16. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, The Wild Pause retains ownership of its written materials, session structures, guided practices, recordings, handouts and other original content. Materials supplied to participants or clients are for personal or internal use and may not be reproduced, recorded, distributed, taught or commercially exploited without written permission.

17. Data protection

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Information may be used to administer bookings, communicate essential event information and respond to enquiries. Further details should be set out in The Wild Pause privacy policy.

18. Events outside our control

The Wild Pause Limited will not be responsible for delay, cancellation or failure to perform caused by events outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, site closure, transport disruption, illness, public authority restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, reasonable alternatives will be offered.

19. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The version in force when a booking is made will apply to that booking unless a later change is required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
